Emily Harvatin

Emily Harvatin practices both civil and criminal law. She has federal jury trial experience and routinely appears in state and federal courts on behalf of Newton Barth’s clients.

Emily is a graduate of the Saint Louis University School of Law. Before law school, Emily served as a court clerk intern in the Federal Court of the Western District of Oklahoma. As an intern with the firm from 2019 to 2021, Emily had the opportunity to work extensively with partners Talmage Newton and Brandy Barth, assisting them in their work on a number of criminal defense and employment cases. This experience led her to join the firm in 2021 as an attorney, where she has developed into a versatile and valued member of the Newton Barth team. Emily routinely assists firm clients with employment matters, working on cases involving racial, gender, religious, and other forms of discrimination. She also counsels clients on severance agreements.

In addition, Emily also represents our firm’s clients in a wide range of criminal matters.
